Albert Henry Hutchins, 52, was pronounced dead on arrival at Wagoner Hospital Monday, February 25th, after suffering a heart attack while working at the Masonic Hall.
Born October 16, 1910, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he was a former resident of Haskell, Oklahoma. He came to Wagoner, Oklahoma where he was the central office man for Southwestern States Telephone Company, a member of the Communications Workers of America and Independent Pioneers Association of Southwestern. Hutchins was a member of the Wagoner First Baptist Church.
A 32nd Degree Mason and member of the McAlister Consistory, he was also a Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star No. 34 of Wagoner; member and Past Master of Wagoner Lodge No. 98; Lake Area Chapter No. 72; RAM of Pryor, Oklahoma; Muskogee Council No. 2, Royal and Select Masters; Commandry No. 2, Knights Templar of Muskogee and for several years had served as chairman of the advisory board in the Order of Rainbow for Girls in Wagoner.
Services were held at 10:30am today (Thursday) in the Immanuel Baptist Church of Wagoner with Pastor Cecil Henson officiating, assisted by Pastor Al N. Glasgow.
Active pallbearers were fellow Masons with fellow employees of Southwestern States Telephone Company serving as honorary pallbearers.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Green Funeral Home of Wagoner with Masonic graveside rites.
