J. Clifford Beeks was born October 2, 1903 in Goldendale, the son of Nelson and Tena Hamilton Beeks. He died at his home in Goldendale on January 16, 1969 from a heart attack.
He was married to Gladys Jensen of Goldendale on June 4, 1927 and was a resident of here except for three years spent in The Dalles and six years at Pullman. He was a rancher for 20 years. He was president of the Klickitat County Art League and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys, two sons, Lonell, Yakima, and Ronald, Great Falls, Mt; one brother Eldon Beeks, Pottersville, NJ; a half-sister, Ethel Mae Cannon, Citrus Heights, Cal.; a half-brother, Joe Jobe, Seattle, and six grandchildren.
Services were conducted January 20, 1969 at the Knosher Funeral Home in Goldendale with Roger White and Dow Evans officiating. Pallbearers were Gail Jackson, Cyrus Forry, Mark Ruland, Thurman Ward, George McCredy and Arthur Wickman.
