Viola Mae Loetscher, 97, of Salem, Arkansas, formerly of Plant City, Florida, passed from this walk of life, Wednesday, May 31, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Parma, Missouri, on June 27, 1925, daughter of the late Monroe and Myrtle Hon and was the oldest of 12 children. She was united in marriage to the late John Edward Loetscher. During her working years, Viola was a sales consultant. She loved her family very much. Viola gave birth to three children but raised nine children. She was a great cook and was always ready for whoever came over at mealtime. Viola was a seamstress, had a green thumb and enjoyed canning from her garden. She loved the Lord and loved attending church. Viola was very active in church as a deacon's wife and continued to be active after his death. She was the oldest member of Beulah Baptist Church in Lithia, Florida, where she attended and served the Lord for many years.

Viola is survived by her son, Larry Loetscher and wife Kathleen of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Helen Diane Findley of Plant City, Florida; daughter-in-law, Donna Gardner; brothers, John Hon and wife Linda of Lithia, Florida, Gene Hon of Puxico, Missouri and Benny Hon and wife Connie of Salem, Arkansas; sisters, Ethyl Clippard of Michigan, Leona Rea of Hempstead, Texas and Mary Walsh of Flint, Michigan; grandchildren Amy (Phil), Holly, Larry, Jr. (Brittney), Carolyn, Alpha John, Jr. Jeff, Candance, Charles Edward, Jr., Lynne and Jessica; 23 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Loetscher; sons, Charles Edward Loetscher, Sr. and Alpha John Loetscher, Sr. and parents, Monroe and Myrtle Hon.

Funeral Services will be held, Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.

Funeral Services in Florida will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Beulah Baptist Church in Lithia, Florida, beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Barry Duncan officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.
