Robert H. DUZAN, 56, Rt. 2, Rochester, died unexpectedly at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at South Bend Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1932 in Gary to Joseph and Blanche RABY DUZAN. He moved to Rochester in 1973 following retirement from the U.S. Navy after 22 1/2 years of service. He was married June 17, 1951 in Rochester to Phyllis Jean HOLLOWAY, who survives. He was a retired self-employed electrician and a former employee of the Indiana State Highway Department. He was a member of the Mentone Masonic Lodge.
Surviving with the wife are three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Debra) MILLER, Warsaw; Mrs. Greg (Dona) LOWE, Rochester, and Mrs. Doug (Dana) TYLER, North Manchester; two grandchildren, Richard Erick MILLER, Warsaw, and Ashley N. LOWE, Rochester the parents, Joseph and Blanche RABY DUZAN, Akron; two sisters, Mrs. Dixie PARMAN, Crown Point, and Mrs. Sue HENRY, Warsaw; two brothers, Jerry DUZAN, Florida, and Ray DUZAN, Rochester; nieces, and nephews. A son, 2nd Lt. Robert DUZAN II, died May 7, 1987. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Russell WILBUR officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery with military rites. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until services Wednesday. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the 2nd Lt. Robert Duzan II memorial scholarship fund.
