Mrs. Allen was born July 23, 1937, in Gaylesville, AL, daughter of the
late Charles Bige and Pearl Speer Ray. She was a member of Berea Church
of Christ, and prior to her retirement, was employed with Best
Manufacturing. Mrs. Allen loved her cats and working in her garden.
She was a great caregiver and cared for many family members over their
lifetimes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
William Roger "John" Allen; brothers, Clyde Ray, Bill Ray, Cecil Ray,
and Jack Ray; and a sister, Ruby McCullough.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Allen ; Special Daughter, Karen
Haney.
Graveside services for Mrs. Allen were held Friday, October 7, 2022, at
Johnson Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Burns officiating.
There will be no visitation and a celebration of life will be held at a
later date.
