EAST WENATCHEE _ Morris M. ``Morie'' Goodman, 73, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1992, at the University of Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born Oct. 22, 1918, to Marlin B. and Zora (Edwards) Goodman at Alf, Ark., where he received his education. He moved to Idaho at the age of 16, where he worked as a logger for a short time. He worked for General Telephone there and was later transferred to the Wenatchee Valley, where he retired from GTE as an installer in 1975. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during World War II.
He married Melva McKloy on July 17, 1980, at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho., and they lived in East Wenatchee. He worked for Top Foods in 1987 as a courtesy clerk.
Mr. Goodman was a past member of Wenatchee Elks Lodge No. 1186.
Survivors include his wife, at the home; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Jeanell) Hennigh of Carthage, N.Y., Lunda Ryn of Wenatchee and Mrs. Terry (Kristine) Phillips of East Wenatchee; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Shields, East Wenatchee; and seven grandchildren.
Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, is in charge of arrangements.
