At the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Q. Burress, Burress, Nebraska at 2 o'clock Wednesday, February 26, 1908, occurred the marriage of their daughter Lela to George Acker of Tobias, Neb. The couple were attended by the bride's brother Henry and sister Bessie. About thirty-five guests were present to give their cheer and good wishes to the happy bride and groom. After the ceremony performed by E. M. Johnson of the Geneva Christian church and the congratulations, the company repaired to the dining room to enjoy the delicious and bounteous repast spread on the groaning tables. Many valuable and useful presents were received by the newly married pair.
Mr. and Mrs. Acker go in a few days to Tobias, Neb., where the former has a dray business. They will be at home to friends after March 15.
