Cecil Calvin Chambers, age 79, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away March 27th, 2007. Mr. Chambers was a native of Union County, GA, and a son of the late Calvin Juan Chambers and Myrtle Ivey Jordan Chambers. He was born February 28, 1928. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula. Mr. Chambers had been a resident of Atlanta during the years of 1966 through 1988.

He was preceded in death by his wife Eula Lee Turner Chambers; son Anthony Chambers; his parents Calvin and Myrtle Chambers; sisters Marie Burnette, Rachel Chambers, and Audrey Sheffield; brothers jay, Ray, and Jerry Chambers. Surviving family members include daughter and son-in-law Donna and James Mills, of Atlanta; son Richard L. Chambers, of Lawrenceville; sisters Ellavie Walden of Pensacola, Florida and Retha Overstreet of Blairsville; and brothers Roger Chambers of Blue Ridge, GA, Earl Chambers of Morganton, GA, and Winston Chambers of Blairsville; grandchildren Holli Mills of Charlotte, NC, and Courtni Mills,of Atlanta; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Brother James Mills officiating. Special music was presented by Janit McKinney, Lew McKinney, Carolyn Filer, and Glenda Montgomery. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Richard Chambers, Bobby Overstreet, Butch Treadwell, Kent Montgomery, Larry Vivian, and Brian Leech. Burial was in the church cemetery.
