Gloria Dean O'Bryan Dowdy, 76, of Murray died Friday, October 11, 2013 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Gloria was born on December 30, 1936 in Marshall County. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Dowdy; parents, Theodore and Carrie O'Bryan; a brother, Charles Thomas O'Bryan; and a sister, Rose Farris.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy and wife Melissa Dowdy of Murray and Danny Dowdy of Murray; a daughter, Kathy McKendree and husband Joe of Murray; two brothers, Joe O'Bryan of Mayfield and Michael O'Bryan of Benton; four sisters, Anna Workman of Lynn Grove, Betty Little of Colorado, Nancy Teckenbrock of Benton, and Alice Goheen of Benton; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 12:30 PM at Imes-Miller Funeral Home with Bro. Hal Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 4 – 9 PM on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Imes-Miller Funeral Home.
