Alvin A. Gordon, chief engineer of the Lexington light plant for the Westen Public Service Company for the past 32 years, died Jan 5th.
Alvin A. Gordon was the son of Mr. and Mrs Damine [sic Demaine] Gordon, and was born Sept. 6 1887, seven miles southwest of Lexington. He had lived in Lexington his entire live. He started his electrical career with the first light plant in this city.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bessie Gordon 2 daughters Mrs. John Hanson Jr. of North Platte, and Mrs. Cleve Milroy of Broken Bow; by his mother Mrs Kate Gordon Santa Anna CA, one sister Mrs D Van Zant, Santa Ana Ca one brother Jack Gordon Ponca City OK and 3 step children, Monty, Stanle and Ida Taylor.
