Luis was senselessly killed while driving down the 280 Freeway in California with his 2 young sons in the car.
Per neighbor's accounts, he acted as a father figure to dozens of children in the neighborhood. He played baseball and basketball with them, took them to games, barbecued hot dogs for them and always welcomed them into his home, they said.
"There are a lot of single moms here, and he helped them out and helped nurture all the children," said someone, who has lived down the street from the family for a few years. "The children will have a real void in their lives. Luis will truly, truly be missed"
Mrs. Solari says she's now left with only memories of her husband, " On the day their first son was born he arrived at the hospital dressed up in a suit to celebrate fatherhood"
He leaves behind a wife and 2 young sons who will miss their father greatly.
