Jean Marie Anderson, Jan. 13, 1920-April 25, 2005, Jean Marie Anderson, 85, of 2311 Westside Drive, Rochester, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Monday at Life Care Center of Rochester.
Born on Jan. 13, 1920, in Bruce Lake Station, she was the daughter of Edwin and Mabel Crabill Brooker. On May 7, 1938, in Rochester, she married Harley Thompson. He preceded her in death in October 1965. On April 26, 1969, in Rochester, she married Guy N. "Andy" Anderson. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1997. Mrs. Anderson with her husband managed the former Fulton County Farm from 1954- 1965. She had worked at the former Baxter Drugs for approximately 10 years before she retired. After retiring, she volunteered with the Woodlawn Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Tim and wife Linda Thompson, Rochester; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; stepbrothers, Gerald and wife Mary Alice Jones, Rochester, Waldon Jones, Rochester; and stepdaughter, Darla and husband Kevin Carter, Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Thompson in June 1993; parents; sister, Mildred Jones; and brothers, David H. and Edwin Brooker.
Her funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to her service at the funeral home. Burial is at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
