She was born November 10, 1955, on the family farm west of Zeandale, the daughter of Harry C. and Dorothy M. (Heidel) Puett.
Deb graduated from Manhattan High School and had attended Airline Flight Attendant School, and had received her CNA, CMA and was working on her LPN License.
She had worked for 9 years at Mercy Regional Health Center as a Telemetry Technician.
Deb enjoyed painting, crocheting, sewing, her garden and flowers and decorating her home.
On November 16, 1981, at her family home she was married to John David "Dave" Jones, Jr. Dave survives of the home. Additional survivors include three sons, Michael, Andrew and Brewster Jones all of Manhattan; one step-daughter, Anneliese Burciagia; two brothers, Harry L. Puett and Arthur C. Puett both of St. Louis, MO; and six grandchildren: Jeffery Jones, Jasmine Garcia, Zoie Jones, Shane and Devon Burciagia, and Sierra Jones.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery southeast of Manhattan. Family and friends at invited to meet at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home to form a procession to the cemetery.
