Laura Beaver died peacefully in her sleep on her 88th birthday. In the Hebrew tradition a person who dies on their birthday has a special blessing. This was truly a fact in her life. She loved her family deeply.
Laura Beaver married Raymond Patterson Peurifoy. They had four Children: Rebecca Peurifoy (Mrs. "Buck" Stearns), Mary Jane Peurifoy (Mrs. Mike West), Karen Peurifoy Chase and Scott Peurifoy (twins). She was the grandmother of eight.
She was a homemaker and very involved in the lives of her children. With three daughters she was an active Girl Scout leader. An active member of the Laurinburg United Methodist Church.
Laura was a member of the most noble profession in the world: Homemaker. She was a lifetime Methodist and was a choir member in all three churches where she was a member. She also taught 3rd grade Sunday school, was a circle member, a Girl Scout leader, an American Red Cross volunteer, and a member of the Home Extension Club. Her hobbies outside of her family were tending flowers, ceramics and walking on the beach.

Her remains were scattered in the ocean which she loved.
