Jewelry Designer. Mr. Papp, who was the son of Joseph Papp, director of the New York Shakespeare Festival, became interested in jewelry as wearable art while attending the Parsons School of Design. His work, in which he combined metals in inlaid designs, was shown in galleries in New York, Boston and Philadelphia. In 1986 he opened the Tony Papp Gallery in Trump Tower. He also taught at several art schools in the New York area.
