Bobby Joe Beavers of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at his residence. Born on March 17, 1940, he was the son of Edward and Frieda (Wooldridge) Beavers. He married Anita Kern, and she survives.

Also surviving are one step-son, Daniel Ingram of Springville, IN; one step-daughter, Lori Jo Young of Mount Pleasant, MI; one niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Marilyn Sargent; and one step-grandson.

He was a retired self-employed painting contractor and was a Korean War Army veteran. He was affiliated with Mundell Christian Church and a member of the East Oolitic Community Church, the American Legion and 40&8.

Services for Bobby Beavers will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 18th, at Cresthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with graveside military rites accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post #33, Bedford.
