Mrs. Bertha E. Williams, 94, Milmine, died at 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec 13, 1970 at Kirby Hospital, Monticello, Illinois.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roux Funeral Home, Bement, Rev. Frank Wimp will officiate. Graveside rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near St. Elmo.
Mrs. Williams was born in Fayette County June 17, 1876, a daughter of William and Hannah Rhodes Hissong. She was married Jan. 9, 1987 at Vandalia to Joseph Williams, who died in 1932.
Survivors are a son, John of Beecher City; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Becker, Milmine, and Mrs. Margaret Well and Mrs. Alice May both of Decatur; 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 36 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters and two sons.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Milmine Church of God and an active worker in the Mothers of World War II organization.
