Also surviving are three sons: Larry Lake and Vic Pierce, both of Fayetteville, IN, and Danny Pierce of Avoca, IN; two daughters, Elaine Shelton of Seymour, IN, and Carolyn Shackleford of Fayetteville, IN; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers; Tom, Morgan, Charlie, Oba and Hershel Pierce; and seven sisters: Hattie Turner, Laura Warner, Stella Duncan, Eva Webb, Violet Fields, Lottie Pierce, and Nellie Spray.
He was a self-employed construction worker and a retired farmer. He attended Fayetteville Baptist Church.
Services for Edward Pierce will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Church of Christ Cemetery.
