"Selover Rites Set for Friday - Funeral services for Newton J. Selover, 20, naval aviation cadet who died early yesterday in a Livermore hospital from injuries received in an airplane crash on Sunday, will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in St. Matthew's Episcopal church here. Remains are to be brought here tomorrow after release by naval authorities. Friends may call until noon Friday at the William Crosby & Co. funeral parlors in Buringame. Selover was a former resident of San Mateo and had been prominent in sports and student activities at the San Mateo High school. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newton T.[P.] Selover with whom he had moved to Chicago a year ago before enlisting as a naval air cadet. A brother, Walter Selover, is employed by the Wisnom Hardware company in San Mateo."
