Robert G. Hall Sr., 90, of Fairfield, the husband of the late Dorothy Tierney Hall, died April 21 at home.

Born in Bridgeport, the son of the late Cornelius and Jennie Hall, he had been a Fairfield resident since 1950. He was a graduate of Warren Harding High School, class of 1936, and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was retired as an accountant for the Dictaphone Company following 41 years of service. He was past president of the Fairfield Babe Ruth League, and served on the Fairfield Representative Town Meeting in the 1950s. He served on the board of directors for many years at the Dogwood Green Condominiums in Fairfield

Survivors include two children, Barbara Anderson and her husband, John, of Naugatuck and Robert G. Hall Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Jill Anderson-Mongillo, Karen Anderson, Sara Hall, Amanda Hall and Joseph Hall; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Ashley and Maxine Mongillo and Brooke Middlemass.

A private funeral service will take place at the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road. Interment will be private in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
