Cloice B. Adams

Cloice B. Adams, 81, of Noblesville died Monday, July 27, 2009, at his home.

Born March 16, 1928, in Shawnee, Kan., he was the son of Carl and Lillie (Rosenquest) Adams. He married Geraldine "Jerri" Ragland on Feb. 24, 2001, and she survives.

Other survivors include his son, David (wife, Marilyn) Adams of Waldron; stepchildren, Eddie Neal, Ronnie Neal, Keith Neal, Cheryl Muir and Gene Antle; brother, Howard Adams of Dothan, Ala.; grandchildren, Corbin Adams, Jason Adams and Heather Adams; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Adams; and stepdaughter, Melinda Neal.

Mr. Adams was the owner of Claude D. Wright Inc., a gas pipeline construction company.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Adams graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in Shawnee and attended Kansas State University.

He was a member of Pipe Trades Industry and First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 207 W. Jackson St. in Cicero.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Spaulding officiating.

Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia.
