Mrs. Sherman Smith, 71, of 400 Belmont St., Waymart, died at her home yesterday morning at 7:05 after a long illness.
Born in Clinton Township, she lived in Waymart for the past 14 years.
She was the former Miss Rose STANTON, daughter of the late JOSHUA and MARIA MILLER STANTON.
She was a member of the Clinton Baptist Church and the Ladies Aid and Mission Circle.
Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Glenn and Lewis, Waymart; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Snyder, at home; a sister, Mrs. Emma Joy and a brother, Claude STANTON, both of Waymart.
The funeral will be from the Bartholomay Funeral Home, 247 South Strrt., Waymart, Sunday at 2 P.M., with the Rev. Russell Edwards, Waymart Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
