Mary Ann Ogden Parrish was the daughter of Bess Alice Dean Ogden and James Matlock Ogden. Mary Ann married Henry Parrish, and two children were born of this union: Alison Parrish Newbold, whopredeceased her, and James Ogden Parrish.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Swarthmore College and taught school in Indianapolis, Indiana for 30 years, retiring in 1975.
