James Earl Gentry age 63 of Knoxville died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at his home. He was born April 18, 1938 in Delaware to the late Bennie Ray and Stella Reed Gentry. He was a member of Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141, AMVETS Post 50 in Russellville, serving as Commander for three years.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Hubbard.

Survivors are his wife, Cathie Srutka Gentry; three daughters & sons-in-law, Terry Gentry and Michele Turner of Ola, Jamie and Steve Williams and Vicki and Bryan Boyd all of Russellville; three brothers, J. R. Gentry of Havana, Johnny Gentry and Tommy Gentry both of Kentucky; three sisters, Dorothy Shook of Clarksville, Ola Jessen and Catherine Mackie both of Russellville; three grandchildren, Shelbea Gentry, Trayce Gentry and Peightyn Gentry, all of Russellville.

Services were Saturday, February 2, 2002, at 10:00 a. m. at the Cornwell Chapel, Dardanelle with Rev. Wiley Jones officiating. Interment will be in Graves Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle. Visitation was Friday, February 1, 2002 from 6 to 8 p. m. Pallbearers were Thomas Hellmer, Tony Witter, Scott Strnad, Bill Abernathy, Jackie Mackie and Jon Gentry. The family request casual attire.
