Mrs. Mabel C. Abrahamsen, 82, died at the Sandstone Area Hospital Sunday, Nov. 13.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Esther Selvage and Mrs. Mildred Sorensen, both of San Jose, CA and Mrs. Ruth Colton in Cloquet; one brother, Henry Larsen, Askov; one sister, Mrs. Emma Bridge, Ord, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Abrahamsen had lived in the Sandstone Nursing Home since July of this year. Prior to that she lived in the San Jose, CA area with her daughters for five years after leaving Askov. She was married to the late Jens Abrahamsen and worked as a cook in Askov restaurants through the years after Jen's death in 1933.

Funeral services were held at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Askov on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Victor Nelson officiating. Casket bearers were Dennis Jensen, David Jensen, Leland Jensen, James Kroon, Roy Petersen and Jens Abrahamsen.
