Ollie Fred Lowrey, age 71 of New Blaine, died Wednesday at Dardanelle Hospital. He was born December 27, 1930 in Sandy, Arkansas and was the son of the late Ollie Melvin and Leota Cravens Lowrey. Mr. Lowrey was owner and operator of Lowrey's Grocery in New Blaine for 45 years. He was also an outdoorsman, an avid gardener, and found peace with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tim Lowrey; and a sister, Annabelle Carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Bruce Bradley of Russellville; a son, Dallas Lowrey of Russellville; 2 grandchildren, Derek and Ashley Bradley of Russellville and a lifelong friend and cousin, John Irvin Farnam of New Blaine.

Funeral services were Friday at Elizabeth Hall Masonic Lodge at New Blaine with the Rev. Elton Thomas and Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial was in Elizabeth Hall Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle. Pallbearers were John David Wood, Manuel Home, Gerald Neumeier, Glendall Berry, Jerome Geels. R. L. Bowen.
