Bruce Wayne Larsen, 64, peacefully passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at his home in Riverdale. He was born on Jan. 24, 1942, in Preston, Idaho, the son of MelRoy and Emma Louise Egbert Larsen. He served his country in the National Guard for six years.

He married Joyce Sorenson on March 26, 1965, in the Logan, Utah Temple. She preceded him in death on December 31, 1996. He married Ruth Howlett on May 24, 1997, in the Logan Temple.

He loved his family and his grandkids. He loved working on the farm. He enjoyed hunting for golf balls and he liked to take pictures. He was always so nice to people, and always had a smile. He loved being Santa Claus. He enjoyed teasing his grandkids. He simply enjoyed life.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served as ward clerk in several bishoprics and also as ward mission leader. He was always a faithful home teacher.

He has been reunited with his first sweetheart, preparing the arrival of his second sweetheart someday. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Riverdale; three sons, Darren Bruce (Cindee) Larsen of Riverdale, David Wayne (Christine) Larsen of Preston, Bradley Allen (Stephanie) Larsen of Preston; by his mother, Emma Larsen of Preston; nine grandchildren (B J, Taylor, Tiffanee, Kolby, Coleman, Payton, Dustin, Marquessa, and Brookley); and by two brothers, Ervin (Judy) Larsen of Cedar City, Utah, and Dwain (Cari) Larsen of Hailey, Idaho. He was also preceded in death by his father.
