Dean Richter, Nov. 9, 1930 - July 8, 2001, Dean RICHTER, 70, 2520 Park Place, Rochester, died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday at Indiana University Medical Center. He had been in failing health one year. Born in Fulton to Ernie and Jennie GUNDRUM RICHTER, he married Marjorie I. WIDEMAN Nov. 18, 1951 in Rochester. She died Jan. 15, 1988. He married Helen BROWN Nov. 29, 1991. She survives. Mr. Richter was a retired plant manager of Lau Industries, Rochester, and president of Fulton County Council for five years. A lifetime Fulton County resident, he was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served on the Deaconate trustee and finance boards and was an usher. He was a member of the Fulton Economic Development Corp. board of directors, Fulton County Republicans, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge. Surviving with his wife, at home, are two daughters, Tracey BEEMAN and husband David, Elwood, Lee Ann MEYER and husband Chris, Lawrence; two sons, Charles A. [RICHTER] and wife Dion, Austin, Texas, Tim [RICHTER] and wife Rhonda, Denver; two stepsons, James RANS, Rochester, Jack RANS and wife Pam, Indianapolis; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three sisters, his twin, Donna CARVEY and husband Dee, Macy, Mary ROSS and husband Bob, Flora, Helen BRUTCHER and husband Frank, Logansport; two brothers, Frank [RICHTER], Fulton, Harry [RICHTER] and wife Dorothy, Rochester; several nieces and nephews. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 1000 Main St., with Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial is at Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or Fulton County Cancer Fund.
