Loving daughter of Jim Bob and Doris Chafin, born October 23, 1964, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Freeport, Texas, Sharon grew up in Brazoria, Texas, and attended school in the Columbia-Brazoria School District. Sharon was a resident of Brazoria, Texas, until she moved to Hungerford, Texas, where she resided at the Straightway Center since October 1996.

Sharon yielded to the Holy Spirit 12 years ago, and her life changed to a caring ministry for others. She was dedicated to making a difference in her life of consecration to her Lord and Savior in ministry of His Word. Many miracles of deliverance in her life gave her a thankful heart and compassion for others. She was well-versed in the study of the Bible. Her poetic writings portray her love for Christ and the people she knew. She was a capable artist and also enjoyed some crafts. Sharon was a great cook and sought new recipes to use in her culinary arts; she was unafraid of trying different spices to flavor the foods she prepared. The spice in her life was compassion in helping others. She loved her family very dearly and desired that her love for each member of the family feel her love.

Sharon is survived by her three children: sons, Cody James Chafin and Keith Allen Chafin, both of Brazoria, and daughter, Thea Danielle Chafin, now residing in Brazoria; her mother, Doris Plunk Chafin of Brazoria; brother, Jimmy D. Chafin and wife, Sharon, of West Columbia; brother, Phillip D. Chafin of Brazoria; sister, Cynthia Chafin Rodriguez and her husband, Julio, of Brazoria; two nieces, Jenny Lynn and Jess Betina Rodriguez of Brazoria; four nephews, Jeremy J. and Joshua R. Rodriguez, both of Brazoria, Wesley W. Chafin of West Columbia and Carl Sewell of Houston.

Sharon was called away to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2007. She was preceded in death by her dad, Jim Bob Chafin; maternal grandparents, Nolan and Mary Plunk of Cleveland, Texas; paternal grandparents, E.E. (Butch) Chafin of Conroe and Lou Rena Chafin Vance of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and uncle, James E. Pickerin of Cleveland.

Family visitation is arranged by Baker Funeral Home for 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at their Brazoria facility.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Assembly of God Church in Brazoria.
