Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 12, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with Rev. Charles Lunkley officiating. Burial will be in the Clarence Cemetery, Clarence, Iowa.
Precious Jewel Zuck was born December 15, 1887, in Cedar County, the daughter of John and Lydia (Bohrer) Zuck. She attended Mount Morris College in Mount Morris, Illinois and taught school in the rural schools. She married Uriah J. Fike on June 21, 1911, in Chicago, Illinois. Together they moved to Cedar County. Uriah became pastor at the Church of Bretheran in rural Clarence where she taught Sunday school and was the choir director. Uriah preceded her in death on October 15, 1959. She continued to live in her own home, until she became a resident of the Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton in 1989. She was a member of Harmony Point Aid Society, Tipton Garden Club and Birthday Club. She was a charitable person and enjoyed her flowers.
Surviving are one nephew, Clarence Zuck of Marshall, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Abigail Lash and Golden Dorcas, three brothers, Charles, John and Alonzo Zuck, four nieces, Gladys Lash, Ruth Dorcas, Margaret Armstead and DeVee Foster and six nephews, Byron and John Dorcas and Merlin, Galen, Leo and Gerald Zuck.
