Born June 16, 1918, in Cass County, she was the daughter to the late Oscar and Erasma (Downham) Homburg.
On June 23, 1940, in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Logansport, she married Dale Allen Dillman, who preceded her in death April 6, 2007.
Mary was a retired secretary for Maiben’s Laundry. She was also a homemaker and volunteered for various church activities. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Dale and was an avid pianist, playing at churches and nursing homes.
Surviving are two sons, Roger (Carol) Dillman, Logansport; Glen (Marti) Dillman, Flora; four grandchildren, Kristie (Brian) Hoopengardner, Churubusco, Tami (Cyle) Dibble, Logansport, Alan (Suzanne) Dillman, Camden, and Jennifer (Chris) Dyke, Camden; five great-grandchildren, Olivia Dibble, Cameron Dibble, Amber Hoopengardner, Madison Dyke and Ashley Hoopengardner.
Two brothers, Ernest and Merl Homburg, preceded her in death.
A celebration of life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, in Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Larry DeVos officiating. Burial will follow at Shideler Cemetery, Logansport.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in Gundrum Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church.
