Funeral Services were held March 9, 2009 at Young Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Elmer L. Fenton officiating. Interment was in New Mount Nebo Cemetery with graveside military rites by Greenville V.F.W. Post #1377.
Mr. Willeford was born July 30, 1924 in Bond County, the son of John M. and Lydia (Collman) Willeford. He married Maxine Daniels on January 21., 1954. She survived.
He was also survived by a son Jerry Willeford of Terrell, Texas; two brothers, Ted Willeford of Pocahontas and Lawrence L. Willeford of Owensville, MO; and two grand children and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Tom, Darrell, Lloyd and Bob Willeford and a sister, Mabel Grafe.
Mr. Willeford grew up and lived all of his life in the Terrapin Ridge area. He had worked in trucking and then went to work as a Bond County Sheriff's Deputy. He served as the Bond County Sheriff from 1970 to 1990.
Memorials were made to Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
