Fred Arndt of Kiel Passes Away at Home on Saturday
Kiel – Fred Arndt, aged 53, passed away at the family residence, 843 N. Seventh street, Kiel, on Sunday at 12:35 a.m. after a lingering illness.
The deceased was born on a farm in the town of Mosel, on August 8, 1883, the son of Henry and Augusta Arndt.
He was married to Miss Lillian Stoltzmann of Sheboygan in 1914, and the couple located in Elkhart Lake, where Mr. Arndt conducted a blacksmith shop for many years. His wife passed away in 1918.
He was married the second time to Miss Elsie Jugenheimer of Kiel on November 5, 1921, and the couple resided in Elkhart Lake until 1923, when they moved to Kiel at their present home.
Mr. Arndt, up until the time of his death, was employed with the Stoelting Brothers Company here.
Survivors are his wife; three sons,Lester, aged 6, Bobbie, aged 5. and Leroy, aged 2; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Schmidt and Mrs. Joseph Gosse of the town of Mosel, and Mrs. Henry Sebald of the town of Rhine, and one brother, William Arndt, of the town of Mosel. A brother, Herman Arndt, of the town of Mosel preceded him in death.
