Bob was the son of Carl Matthew Eppinger and Retha Louise Dooley. He graduated from Litchfield Community High School in 1949. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War (SFC) and served with the Illinois National Guard from 1951 to 1991. Bob married Joan M. Watts in 1952. They later divorced. He is survived by an Aunt, Margaret; one brother, Walter; 2 sisters Jo Ellen (husband Don); Linda, and a step sister, Marilyn. He also leaves three sons, Robert (wife Jane); Timothy(wife Terri); Charles (wife EunHee); a daughter Jamel (husband Gary), and six grandchildren.
