Time as faded many memories. Sadly only remember two of his childrens names, but think he had 4, by his first wife Anna Ruth who died in 1946. He later married Willie Maud "Bill" Barker Threewit, my Aunt, who was also a widow around 1947 or 1948.
He had land that he farmed, a Iron shop in town, and was also the Fire Chief for many years in Blythe.
After retirement he sold most of his land and became a rock hound. He and Bill walked the deserts looking for just the right stones. Made some beautiful things with the rocks he found, cut and polished.
He was my Uncle by marriage who I adored (never knowing my Aunt Bill's first husband). Was a very sweet and kind man, sadly do to life in general, never saw him again after my Grandmother passed in 1961. My parents his sister-in-law (kid sister to Willie "Bill") and brother-in-law saw them often even after they (my parents) moved to Arkansas in 1967,also after my mother passed in 1977 my Dad still visited with him when them could making summer trips to California.
Things got hard for him when Bill started losing her memory early in life and he had to put her in a home in the 1970's. They both passed just 10 months apart in 1990.
