SMORTO – Pearl Grace (Lentine), 91, Northern Cambria, went to be with the Lord April 27, 2009. Born Jan. 20, 1918, in Barnesboro, daughter of Agatino and Rose (Speranza) Lentine. Predeceased by husband, Judge Arnold D. Smorto, in 1999; grandson, Brian J. Bernard; great-grandson, Mason Maddox; and brothers, Angelo "Lubb" Lentine and James Linden. Survived by children, Adrienne, and husband, Peter Bernard Jr.; and Arnold D. Jr., and wife, Joyce (Bernard) Smorto, both of Northern Cambria; grandchildren: Arnold P., and wife, Marie (Sholtis) Bernard; Randolph J., and wife, Linda (Begenyi) Bernard; Gregory, and wife, Jackie (Atherton) Bernard; April, and husband, Jim Maddox; Michele (Smorto), and husband, Andy Paronish; Arnold D. Smorto III; Danielle (Smorto) Malicky; and Lisa (Smorto), and husband, Leonard Maddox; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Sister of John Linden, Northern Cambria; Michael Lentine, Sumter, SC and Kathryn Askew, Williamsburg, VA. Member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and S.O.I. Ladies Lodge. Friends received from 2-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 3 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
