About 1829 Nicholas and Anna Carter and kids moved to Vermillion County, Indiana and lived in Helt Twp untill he died in 1843.
There is a copy of Quit Claim Deed dated 2nd July 1845, Book 12, page 590, Vermillion County, Indiana showing sale of land of Nicholas Carter to son Tobias Carter by heir and son Squire Carter, wife Mariah Jackson Carter, daughter Harriet Carter Blakesley and husband Obediah Blakesley.I have heard of this document but do not actually posssess a copy of it.
