BRIGHAM CITY-Ella Kent Abel, 89, died July 1, 1997 at the Brigham City Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1907 in Lewiston, Utah, a daughter of Samuel B. and Fannie Blair Kent.
She married Wilford Dewey Abel on Jan. 28, 1925 in the Logan Temple. He died Jan. 5, 1988.
She was an active member of the Brigham City Fourth Ward and served as a Relief Society visiting teacher, librarian and was active in temple work.
Her hobbies were quilting and crocheting. Surviving are five children: Helen (Boyd) Richman of Smithfield, Joyce (Reid) Carpenter of Bountiful, Dean Abel of Ogden, Janet (Danell) Cosgrove and Dennis (Karen) Abel both of Brigham City, 2l grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and six great greatgrandchildren.
Also survivng are a brother, Edward Kent of Cornish, and a sister, Maude Robbins of
Nampa, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by three sons, LaMar, Blaine and Donald.
Funeral services will be Thursday at I I a.m. at the Fourth Ward, 25 North 300 East Brigham City.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. at the Myers Mortuary in Brigham City.
Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery.
