The people who perished in the July 17, 1981 Hyatt tragedy
John T. "Jeff" Dixon, 64, of Warrensburg was decorated World War II Navy pilot who became a paraplegic after a 1955 Olathe plane crash. The Hyatt's final victim, he died Dec. 1, 1981.
The Kansas City Star remembered the Victim's on the 40th anniversary of the collapse of the glass skywalk in the one year old Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kansas City, MO.
