A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene for Edna Dawkins (Mize) Moore, 100, Durant, who died Saturday, July 24, 2004, at the Four Seasons Nursing Home. Rev. Bob Lothenore and Harold Blankenship will officiate.

She was born Thursday, May 19, 1904, in Gillam, Ark., to U.G. and Mary Catherine (Dawkins) Mize. She married Clyde Bryant Moore Jan. 6, 1923, Telephone, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Bryan Country. She was a housewife, member of the First Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed church, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 10 siblings, son Eural Moore and daughter Mamie Grounds.

She is survived by daughter Letha M. Compton, Durant; grandchildren Ronald G. Compton, Norman, Kenneth R. Compton, Calera, Jimmy D. Compton, Colbert, Donna K. Elanhhas, Dallas, Texas, and Stevenna J. Grounds, Dallas; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery with pallbearers Russell Compton, Bryan Compton, Kyle Compton, Scott Compton, Chuck Whiseman and Jack Baldwin.

Family hour is from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
