In celebration of her passing, Sally would like all family and friends to come and rejoice together. A resident of Baton Rouge, Sally Jean Thompson Jouette passed away April 16, 2008 at her home. She was 74 years young, born January 18, 1934 and a native of Glemora. She was a fun and sassy lady. She was the "Matriach" of our family, just ask her. She would tell all of us someone needed to tell us what to do. Throughout her battle with cancer and lung problems her great sense of humor was maintained.

Preceded in death by two sons James Jouette and Randy Jouette and parents Ola Mae and Fred Thompson.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Clete Jouette, daughter and son in law Carola and Dan Landry and their children Sarah and Joe Hood, Lori and Chuck Yielding, Rebecca and Brad Gibbs, Deanna Landry, daughter and son in law Debbie and C. E. Smith their children, Faith and Chris Storck, Natasha and Chris Hall and Shane Smith, daughter in law Debra Jouette and her children Jeremy and Melisa Jouette and Jonathon Jouette, sister and brothers Katherine Terrell and Pat and Lester Shelton, Arvel and Beth Thompson and Fred and Ola Thompson; eleven precious great grandchildren Ashetyn and Noah Hood, Haleigh, Blaine and Kamryn Gibbs, Camden and Aiden Yielding, Victoria and Olivia Hall, Lauren Storck and Randy Jouette, many nieces, nephews and longtime friend Dora Erfurt and Violet Cox.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday April 17, 2008 and 8 a.m. until religious services at 9a.m. Friday April 18, 2008 in the Chapel of Greenoaks Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Landry officiating. Interment will be in Butter Cemetery in Forest Hill at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jouette, Shane Smith, Jonathan Jouette, Joe Hood, Chuck Yielding, Chris Storck, Chris Hall, and Brad Gibbs.
