SERVICES FOR MAJOR ADAMS WERE SATURDAY
Services for 90 year old Major Rueben Adams were held on Saturday, May 12th at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair. Mr. Adams died at the Midland Hospital in Papillion on May 9, 1979.

Rev. Owen Wilmot officiated with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Major Ruebn Adams was born in Laurens, New York, on July 25, 1888. He farmed in the Modale, Iowa area. He married Grace Johnson on February 24, 1914. Surviving, besides his wife Grace, are: Wilbur Adams, Blair; Charley Adams, Blair; Harold Adams; Missouri Valley; Donald Adams, Mondamin, Iowa; Mrs. Clifford (Eunice) Stueve, Missouri Valley; Mrs. Duane (Inez) Layton, Modale; Mrs. Robert (Bea) Coats, Ord, Nebraska; Mrs. Dennis (Maxine) Osburn, Blair; Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Merriman, Omaha; 36 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. One surviving sister is Rena Albitz of Emmaus, Pennsylvania.

Pallbearers were: Roger Adams, Mark Adams, Dennis Stueve, Kenneth Layton, Richard Adams, Douglas Adams, and Todd Merriman.
