A graduate of Virginia Tech., class of 1962, he flew fighter jets for the Virginia Air National Guard during the Vietnam era. Steve began his professional career with Merrill Lynch in Richmond, Virginia, and spent over 40 years in the investment industry with Wheat First, Butcher, Singer. He was an avid golfer and member of Kensington Country Club in Naples, playing up until a month before his death.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jeanne Edmonds Anderson; his daughters, Pamela Lynn Anderson of Richmond, Virginia, and Paige Anderson Fox and her husband, Graham, of St. Simons Island, Georgia; granddaughter, Gwyneth Anderson Fox; his sister, Sally Anderson Gemmill and her husband, Bill, of Ridgefield, Connecticut; and brother, Pete Anderson and his wife, Cindy, of The Villages, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Norman and Frances (nee Monier) Anderson.
A private informal gathering of friends and family will be held to honor Steve's life.
