Mary was born June 2, 1919, to the late Moses and Nannie Palmer in Halifax, Virginia. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 20, 1960.
Mary served as a full time pioneer for over 40 years. During that time Mary touched the lives of many with truths from God's Word the Bible. Mary was deeply rooted in her faith and had full confidence in the promise of the resurrection.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William Sawyer; two sisters, Ruth Plenty and Rebecca Palmer; four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
