EDWARD DOMKE

Edward P. Domke, 81, of Route 2, Hilbert, retired Town New Holstein farmer, died Wednesday morning at Bellin Memorial Hospital at Green Bay.
Born May 27, 1876, in Cook County, Ill., the son of Frank and Caroline Domke, he spent his early life there and at the age of 19 came to Calumet County.
On Feb. 15, 1901, he was married to Katherine Stueven of Town Eaton, Manitowoc County, and they farmed until 1942 when they moved to the present home at Route 2, Hilbert. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1951 and Mrs. Domke passed away Jan. 14, 1956.
Mr. Domke was one of the organizers of the Schleswig Telephone Co. and served as president and general manager of the company for a time. At the time of his death he was a member of the Eaton cemetery board.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Sam (Angela) Huebner of Forest Junction; a son, Howard, of New Holstein; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a brother, Paul, of Danville, Calif. A son, Norris, died in 1932 and a sister and brother also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel with the Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St.Peter Evangelical and
Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be in the Eaton cemetery. - Thursday, March 20, 1958 – P. 12
