Mrs. Edward P. Domke, 75, Hilbert, died Saturday evening at Bellin Memorial hospital, Green Bay, following a lingering illness.
Nee Katie Stueven, she was born in the town of New Holstein on Sept. 30, 1880, the daughter of Claus and Christina Stueven, and on Feb. 13, 1901 was married to Edward P. Domke of Chicago. The couple settled on a farm northeast of New Holstein and resided there until 14 years ago when they moved to the present farm home near Hilbert.
She was a member of the New Holstein Chapter of Royal Neighbors and a charter member of the Eaton Ladies’ Aid society.
The couple observed its golden wedding anniversary Feb. 13, 1951.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. S. A. Huebner, of Forest Junction; a son, Howard of New Holstein; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lena Matter of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by a son, Norris, in 1932, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Meiselwitz Funeral home at Kiel with the Rev. E. L. Worthman officiating. Burial was in the Eaton cemetery.
