Howard C. Domke, 85, of 2021 Broadway St., New Holstein died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991.
He was born on Jan. 13, 1906, in the town of Charlestown, Calumet County, a son of the late Edward and Katie Stueven Domke. He attended Kiel High School
On Jan 28, 1930, he married Anita Ehlenbeck at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna. He was employed at Leverenz Shoe Company in New Holstein, from 1936 to 1962 and then at Depies Firestone in New Holstein until his retirement. He was a past president of Leverenz Shoe Workers Union, the New Holstein Senior Citizens, a charter member of the Outdoors Inc., New Holstein, where he was a past secretary treasurer. He was a lover of the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Anita, Calumet Homestead in New Holstein, one son, Harold E. (Betty) Hobe Sound, Fla; one daughter, Mrs. Lois (Paul) Depies, New Holstein; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held at Meiselwitz Funeral home in Kiel, with Msgr. Peter Klauck, officiating. Burial was in Eaton Cemetery, town of Eaton.
