It is with great sadness the family of Robert E. "Buss" Reilly, 78, of Oklahoma Borough, announces his passing Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Our lives were so enriched because of him, as he was a loving husband, a very caring father and a grandfather with the kindest, most genuine heart. We all will miss him dearly. Born Sept. 9, 1930, in Vandergrift, to the late Lawrence J. and Helen A. (Honadle) Reilly. Robert resided in the Vandergrift area all his life. He was employed in the engineering department at U.S. Steel Corporation for 33 years, retiring in 1985. Robert was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Navy from 1948 to 1952. He was a graduate of Vandergrift High School, class of 1948. Robert attended St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo. He was a member of the VFW Post 566, Vandergrift, and was an associate member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Apollo. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John "Jack" Reilly. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores "Dee" (Duriancik) Reilly, of Oklahoma Borough; three sons, Michael (Catherine) Reilly, of Penn Run, Richard (Susan) Reilly, of Spring Church, Robert (Marie Middleby) Reilly, of Vandergrift; four grandchildren, Lauren and Ellen Reilly, of Spring Church, and Brendan and Rachael Reilly, of Penn Run; two sisters, Dorothy Klugh, of Leechburg, and Helen Schmiech, of Vandergrift; brother, Larry Reilly, of Concord, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME, Apollo, PA. Services will be private. Private burial in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift
