The husband of Mildred Lucile Porche Shows.

Fort Bend Herald, December 5, 2007:

William Harvey Shows passed away December 4, 2007 at a local hospital in Richmond, Texas after a brief illness. He was a resident of Needville. He was born October 22, 1917 in Edna to William and Florence Bowen Shows. Harvey spent eight years in the U.S. Navy serving in the Asiatic Fleet, the Pacific Fleet and the Atlantic Fleet, before, during, and after WWII. After his discharge from the navy, he spent his working years as a Longshoreman with the Port Of Houston. Harvey was a member of the ILA Local 1273.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Florence Adelle Bowen Shows; father, William Harrison Shows; his loving wife of 43 years, Mildred Lucille Porche Shows; and his six brothers and sisters.

Harvey is survived by his son, Doug Shows; a daughter, Sandra Judd and her husband, Gary; a granddaughter, Amanda Kern; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitati on will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 7, 2007 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 7, 2007 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Reverend Byron Williamson will officiate the service.
