GEORGE H. DEAGLE

MATHEWS - George H. Deagle, 60, of Tampa, Fla., passed away in Staten Island Hospital, New York, on October 29.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Deagle, of Tampa, Fla.; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Deagle, of Grimstead; three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Sawyer and Mrs. Martha Aldrich of Norfolk and Miss Laura Ellen Deagle of Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Capt. Reginald Deagle serving with the U.S. Army in Germany and Thomas Elliott Deagle of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs Edgar Mitchem of Gwynn and Mrs. Henry Proctor of Grimstead; one brother, Otha Deagle, of Port Haywood and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 4, at 2 p.m. from Foster Funeral Home, Mathews, conducted by the Rev. Charles Jones. Interment was in Gwynn's Island Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Deagle was a veteran of World War I.

Pallbearers were Edward Majette, Carlton Majette, Norman Majette, james Deagle, Landley Deagle and Warren Deagle.
